个人简介:

       Richard Johnston是斯旺西大学材料研究中心的教授,2013年英国科学协会媒体研究员(基于自然),2015年软件可持续发展研究所研究员。理查德的研究涵盖了多学科方法,从制造业中的人工智能,到燃气轮机材料(可磨损材料、镍高温合金、陶瓷基复合材料),再到x射线显微断层扫描。他领导斯旺西的x射线成像小组,并主持斯旺西大学研究论坛(SURF)执行小组。他还是材料学院的联合主任,并担任材料矿物和采矿教育委员会的成员,此外还设计了#ResearchAsArt奖和外展和参与项目Materials:Live的PI。理查德曾为《自然》、《科学美国人》、《卫报》、《赫芬顿邮报》撰文,并与BBC(里斯·琼斯的《野生动物巡逻队》)和地平线(《动物木乃伊》)合作过电视纪录片。
